Alexis Franzese

My major research interests are in the areas of self and identity. I consider these areas from both sociological and psychological perspectives and have training in social psychology in both disciplines. My main line of research is on the topic of authentic behavior. My research explores (1) the social determinants of authentic behavior, (2) the mental health consequences of inauthentic behavior, and (3) authenticity in the context of self-regulation. Other research interests include mindfulness, close relationships, and socialization.
